N. Malone Mitchell 3rd
Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer

N. Malone Mitchell 3rd has served as TransAtlantic Petroleum's Chief Executive Officer since May 2011, a Director since April 2008, and Chairman of the Board of Directors since May 2008.

Since 2005, Mr. Mitchell has served as the President of Riata Corporate Group, LLC and Longfellow Energy, LLC, a Dallas-based private oil and natural gas exploration and production company. From June to December 2006, Mr. Mitchell served as President and Chief Operating Officer of SandRidge Energy, Inc. (formerly Riata Energy, Inc.), an independent oil and natural gas company concentrating in exploration, development, and production activities. Until he sold his controlling interest in Riata Energy, Inc. in June 2006, Mr. Mitchell also served as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of Riata Energy, Inc., which Mr. Mitchell founded in 1985 and built into one of the largest privately held energy companies in the United States. Through his senior executive officer positions at Riata Corporate Group, LLC and Riata Energy, Inc., Mr. Mitchell brings extensive executive leadership experience, organizational experience, and over 34 years of experience in the oil and natural gas industry to TransAtlantic Petroleum.

Mr. Mitchell holds a B.S. from Oklahoma State University.

Todd Dutton
President

Todd Dutton has served as President of TransAtlantic Petroleum since May 2014. His primary responsibilities are to guide TransAtlantic Petroleum’s strategy and lead its business development efforts.

Mr. Dutton has been in the oil and natural gas industry since 1977, focusing on exploration, acquisitions, prospect development, and property evaluation in various positions including Landman, Land Manager, Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and President. He has worked the Mid-Continent and Texas regions, with emphasis on exploration land activities, exploration economics, prospect development, and producing property evaluation. Mr. Dutton has also served as President of Longfellow Energy, a Dallas, Texas-based independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company owned by TransAtlantic Petroleum’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, N. Malone Mitchell 3rd and his family, since January 2007. His primary responsibility for Longfellow Energy is to originate, organize, and develop oil and gas projects. Prior to joining TransAtlantic Petroleum and Longfellow Energy, Mr. Dutton served as Chief Operating Officer for Riata Energy, Inc. from 2005 to 2006. His former experience includes various supervisory and management roles at Texas Pacific Oil Company, Coquina Oil Corporation, and BEREXCO INC.

Mr. Dutton holds a B.B.A. degree in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Oklahoma. He has previously received his certification as a Certified Professional Landman by the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL).

 

 

 

Michael Hill
Chief Accounting Officer

Michael Hill was appointed as Chief Accounting Officer of TransAtlantic Petroleum in 2019. Mr. Hill’s responsibilities include public filings and certification, management of finance and accounting staff. Management of audit and control processes.

Prior to re-joining TransAtlantic Petroleum in 2019, Mr. Hill served as Chief Accounting Officer of AVAD Energy Partners, LLC from 2017 to 2019, where he was responsible for internal and external financial reporting, cash management, debt compliance, oil and gas marketing, execution of hedging strategy, and analyzing profitability. Previously at TransAtlantic Petroleum, from 2010 until 2017, Mr. Hill served in various roles of increasing responsibility, including Corporate Controller, where he managed the accounting staff in TransAtlantic Petroleum’s corporate and international offices and was responsible for public external financial reporting, internal management reporting, implementing and monitoring internal control over financial reporting, and professional development of the accounting staff in Dallas and Turkey.  Mr. Hill’s former experience also includes tenure as International Controller at Toreador Resources Corporation and as a Senior Auditor at Grant Thornton LLP.

Mr. Hill holds a B.B.A. degree in Accounting and Finance from Texas Tech University.

Tabitha Bailey
Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary

Tabitha Bailey was appointed Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of TransAtlantic Petroleum in 2019. Ms. Bailey’s responsibilities include taking a leadership role in business development efforts, representing Transatlantic Petroleum in contract and regulatory matters, and overseeing compliance and corporate governance. Previously, Ms. Bailey served as Associate General Counsel of TransAtlantic Petroleum from June 2017 until her current appointment.

Prior to joining TransAtlantic Petroleum, Ms. Bailey served as an attorney in the corporate department at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, where she represented clients in mergers, acquisitions, capital raising, securities compliance, and other strategic transactions across a broad range of industries from 2013 to 2017. Ms. Bailey began her career as an Attorney in the corporate department at Haynes and Boone, LLP.

Ms. Bailey holds a B.A. in International Studies and Economics from the University of Mississippi and a J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School.

 

G. Fabian Anda
Vice President of Finance

G. Fabian Anda was appointed Vice President of Finance of TransAtlantic Petroleum in 2016. In this role, Mr. Anda is responsible for internal financial reporting for operations and management, budgeting, forecasting, cash management and liquidity funding, transaction handling, and business development assistance. Mr. Anda travels regularly to TransAtlantic Petroleum’s international offices to oversee and support accounting, treasury, auditing, and tax functions.

Mr. Anda has had management experience in a variety of multicultural environments, including the MENA region and Latin America, since 1999. He has a history in finance, accounting, business planning, analysis, and administrative operations management roles. Mr. Anda’s career started at ConocoPhillips, where he worked for 10 years in positions of increasing responsibility in the Houston, Texas location, delivering cross-functional leadership in full country operations, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and high-level negotiations. Prior to joining TransAtlantic Petroleum, Mr. Anda took over as finance director at ConocoPhillips. Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Anda has served at Transatlantic Petroleum in various management roles, including Director of Finance and Accounting, Interim Principal Accounting and Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance, and Principal Accounting and Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance.

Mr. Anda holds a B.B.A. in Finance and an M.B.A. in International Finance from the University of Saint Thomas at Houston.

Selami Erdem Uras
Executive Vice President, Turkey

Selami Uras was appointed Executive Vice President, Turkey in 2016. Mr. Uras is the legal representative for TransAtlantic Petroleum in Turkey and the senior executive over finance, land, and operations for TransAtlantic Petroleum’s operating regions.

Mr. Uras joined TransAtlantic Petroleum as Resident Representative/Manager in Turkey in 2006. Prior to joining TransAtlantic Petroleum in 2006, Mr. Uras served as the Resident General Manager of ARCO Oil and Gas Company (ARCO) in Turkey for 15 years. Mr. Uras led the Turkish branch until ARCO’s merger with BP in 2000. During his tenure with ARCO, he participated in several exploration and production projects, which resulted in multiple commercial discoveries in Turkey and two deep offshore exploration wells in the Black Sea. His experience in oil and gas industry goes back to 1980 when he worked for Geophysical Services Inc. (GSI), a subsidiary of Texas Instruments Corporation, managing the acquisition of 2D and 3D seismic data and its processing. During the period between 1980 and 1985, Mr. Uras participated in several seismic acquisition projects for GSI in Turkey, including projects with Esso, Chevron, ARCO, Amoco, Shell, Mobil, Wintershall, Huffco Petroleum Corporation, a private American company, and Turkish national oil company TPAO. Mr. Uras is also a successful entrepreneur in certain other industry branches, including mining.

Mr. Uras graduated from TED Ankara College in 1976 and earned his CPA certificate from The Faculty of Economical & Commercial Sciences in Ankara in 1980.
